Fabulous holiday in a resort that really does have something for everyone! - 25/02/2015
Overall

Alpe D'Huez really does have something for every level of skier / boarder. Loads of greens and blues for beginners and early intermediates to progress too and plenty to keep more expert skiers / boarders happy. The Mariandre is a lovely hotel, super food, very well run and with the incomparable Esprit child care facilities is a great choice for families. The hotel is exceptionally well run and all the staff obliging, cheery and professional. Only slight niggle is the noisy waterpump that starts banging just before breakfast. All in all a superb holiday.

a great week - 25/04/2011
Overall

We went to Alpe D'Huez in mid-January and had a great time. The friends I went with have organised the trips in the past and it was my turn this time so I was a bit nervous that something would go wrong, but it was a breeze. Igluski were efficient and helpful and Alpe D was a great resort. Flying into Chambery is a bit of a bore because flights are frequently delayed, but the travelling day is a right-off anyway so we just endured in the British way. The hotel staff were wonderful - kind, helpful, efficient, good food and generous with the wine! The resort had a good mix of blues and reds but not many blacks were open that week. We were v.lucky that there had been a big dump of snow on the first night - otherwise skiing back to the hotel would have been a chore. Overall, happy to recommend the holiday and I'd do it again.
