La Massana is located lower down the valley from the ski resorts of Pal, Arinsal and Arcalis. It is well placed so that it has good access to all these ski resorts and is often used as a base for ski holidays to Arinsal and Pal. La Massana and Arinsal are linked to make the Vallnord ski area, which will suit beginners and intermediates skiers. Advanced skiers will enjoy the more challenging terrain of Arcalis, an accommodation free ski area, which is included on the combined La Massana ski pass.
La Massana has a lively nightlife with many restaurants and bars to choose from. A torchlight descent down from the Arinsal mountain is a very popular and highly recommended as a fun apres ski activity.
