Skiing in Alpbach
2012 marked the formation of the Ski Juwel area when Alpbach linked with Auffach in the Wildschonau region.
The local area is situated on the Wiedersbergerhorn above Inneralpbach and on the opposite side of Inneralpbach are the Schatzberg slopes which link to the Auffach-Wildschonau area. These areas have great intermediate terrain that will keep satisfied for the week.
Alpbach is best suited for beginners as its village level slopes are nursery slopes. Once beginner’s have built their confidence there are gentle blue pistes on Wiedersberger that are a great progression from the nursery slopes.
For advanced skiers, the area doesn’t have many options on piste but you can choose to hire a guide and explore off-piste areas like the descents at the back of the Widersberger Horn.
The ski area also has 3 snow parks that cater for all abilities.

Après ski, restaurants and other activities in Alpbach
Alpbach is easily accessible and makes an ideal base from which to explore the local attractions: the picturesque, medieval Rattenberg, the farmhouse museum and lakes in Kramsach or the magnificent castles near Brixlegg. Tirol´s capital, Innsbruck, is also only 60km away and offers a wide range of sights and attractions.
Other popular winter activities include walking, sledding, skating, curling, swimming, sauna bathing and there are also 8 toboggan runs including a 6km run on Reither Kogel. In addition Alpbach boasts a great number of indoor sports facilities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, etc.
There are still 105 working farms in the area - about the same number as 100 years ago. Quaint mountain huts invite you to stop by and tarry awhile. The rustic ambiance is well suited to enjoying hearty snacks and Tirolean specialties. And a shot of schnapps not only warms your body, but also your soul.
Its selection of bars and restaurants at the base of Inneralpbach is a relaxing spot for an apres ski beer.
