Ski Holidays to St Johann in Tirol, Austria
St. Johann is a small, picturesque town nestling between the towering Kitzbüheler Horn and the majestic Wilder Kaiser mountains. There's a vibrant international feel here, yet the resort retains all the charm of a traditional Tirolean village with its 'picture postcard' centre. With many north-facing slopes, the resort boasts a good snow record and is an excellent choice for groups of mixed ability skiers. The area pass ('Schneewinkel') opens up a wealth of other possibilities, encompassing the ski areas of 10 resorts, all linked by local bus services. The Steinplatte area even allows you to ski/board into Germany.
The traffic-free centre adds to the attractive, traditional village atmosphere. Away from the ski slopes there are numerous activities including tobogganing, ice skating, hot air ballooning, horse-drawn sleigh rides, as well as the usual mix of indoor activities including swimming.
