Where is it?
Arinsal is located in the picturesque Pyrenees Mountains nestled between France and Spain. Conveniently connected by cable car to the neighbouring resort of Pal, the area is collectively known as Vallnord and is renowned for its slopes, nightlife and tax-free prices. Beginner skiers have no need to fear because Arinsal has excellent ski schools with caring and patient instructors who speak English, helping you to learn the ropes in a no pressure environment.
On the flip side of entry level skiing, Pal has an amazing network of tree-lined runs, including a Black and 4 international Ski Federation approved slopes that are a perfect challenge for more experienced skiers. Board junkies can satisfy there 'Air-to-Fakie' urges in the huge freestyle area. There is plenty of nightlife to be had in this part of the world including the legendary Arinsal après ski. Loads of restaurants and over two-dozen bars, none of which can add tax to their food and drink, means there's plenty to keep you going well into the small hours.
How's the Powder?
Thanks to it's altitude and location snow is almost 100% guaranteed in the Pal area and if there is a shortfall there are nearly 400 snow cannons that can make up the difference. If previous years weather trends are anything to go by (and they are!) snow conditions will be pretty much ideal. The white stuff was still dumping down until the end of April last year!
