The Big Snow Festival Arinsal, Andorra
14th March 2010 - 21st March 2010

Fancy spending your days on some of the best snow in Europe? And your nights getting low down and dirty on the dance floor? Then the weeklong 'The Big Snow Festival' in the stunning resort of Andorran, Arinsal is for you!

Taking place between 14th March 2010 - 21st March 2010, this is the perfect opportunity to mix an amazing ski holiday with mountain shaking evenings of music and apres ski.

The festival is being arranged by the organisers behind the successful 'Big Reunion' who annually take the likes of Calvin Harris, Judge Jules and Dizzee Rascal, to name but a few, to Skegnessto play to huge partying crowds. The Big Snow Festival will be no different; the Arinsal hills are set to come alive to the sound of some of the world's best new music.

Arinsal is easy to get to and has some of the best slopes for beginners as well as some of the best runs for more experienced skiers. It doesn't end there because there is also a huge 40,000 sq m freestyle space packed with half-pipes, rails, fun boxes and chill-out space. The hottest skiing and snowboarding talent can battle it out in the competitions that will be taking place, whilst instructors will be on hand to help snow virgins find their feet

Whether it's big slopes, big beats or good old-fashioned big fun you're after, it has to be the Big Snow Festival.

Who's On Stage?

This year the Big SNow have gone all out with their line up including the likes of Judge Jules, Kissy Sell Out and Westwood. There is an awesome selection of music throughout the week finishing with a closing party hosted by Fearne Cotton & Scott Mills.

The line up includes: Wrtech 32 | Came & Krooked | Goldie | Micky Finn | Darren Jay | Fresh | Danny Byrd | High Rankin | Micky Slim | Hot City | Eddy Temple Morris | Anne Savage | Stereotype | Skism | BK | Rawkus Noise | Lee John.

Where is it?

Arinsal is located in the picturesque Pyrenees Mountains nestled between France and Spain. Conveniently connected by cable car to the neighbouring resort of Pal, the area is collectively known as Vallnord and is renowned for its slopes, nightlife and tax-free prices. Beginner skiers have no need to fear because Arinsal has excellent ski schools with caring and patient instructors who speak English, helping you to learn the ropes in a no pressure environment.

On the flip side of entry level skiing, Pal has an amazing network of tree-lined runs, including a Black and 4 international Ski Federation approved slopes that are a perfect challenge for more experienced skiers. Board junkies can satisfy there 'Air-to-Fakie' urges in the huge freestyle area. There is plenty of nightlife to be had in this part of the world including the legendary Arinsal après ski. Loads of restaurants and over two-dozen bars, none of which can add tax to their food and drink, means there's plenty to keep you going well into the small hours.

How's the Powder?

Thanks to it's altitude and location snow is almost 100% guaranteed in the Pal area and if there is a shortfall there are nearly 400 snow cannons that can make up the difference. If previous years weather trends are anything to go by (and they are!) snow conditions will be pretty much ideal. The white stuff was still dumping down until the end of April last year!
