Ski Holidays in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, Canada

Sun Peaks is British Columbia’s second largest ski resort with nearly 3700 acres of skiable terrain across three mountains, Mount Tod, Mount Morrisey and Sundance. The resort has 121 runs with 12 gladed areas and 40km of groomed cross-country trails.

There is plenty for skiers of all abilities to enjoy during their ski holidays in Sun Peaks. Mount Tod offers some dramatically steep terrain for advance skiers. Intermediates are well catered for across all 3 mountains with some easy, groomed glades on Mount Morrisey. Beginners can enjoy the gentle nursery slopes in the village before progressing to the easy green runs.

Sun Peaks is a ski-in ski-out resort and the village is traffic-free. Benefiting from a recent $4 million investment this year, Sun Peaks now has a state of the art quad chairlift, raising the uphill capacity to an impressive 12000 people per hour.

On ski holidays in Sun Peaks you are guaranteed snow, even early on in the season. On average, Sun Peaks sees over 5 metres of powder covering the slopes each year, resulting in a ‘Best Weather’ award from Ski Canada Magazine.

Ski holidays in Sun Peaks are a great family choice as it is a very family friendly resort with plenty of facilities for children of all ages. There is a ski school, childminding centre, Kids Ranch and a Kids Adventure Park with snowmobiling and toboggan activities to keep the youngsters entertained.

As an extra bonus, during ski holidays in Sun Peaks resort guests are able to ski for free alongside Canada’s very own Nancy Greene. As a former Olympic ski champion and Sun Peak’s director of skiing, Nancy likes to get out on the slopes as much as possible and meets up with guests twice daily to help enhance their mountain experience.
