Sunshine Village is one of the 3 ski areas that is covered by the Banff / Lake Louise lift pass. Sunshine Village is just 16 kilometres from the centre of Banff and connected by a regular and efficient bus service, which has many pick up points around the town.

Sunshine has an excellent snow record and relies completely on natural snowfall. The skiing is superb for all levels of skier and boarder. Beginners will find plenty of gentle blue trails on which to practice and gain confidence. Intermediates are absolutely spoilt for choice. Experts will particularly enjoy the double black diamond trails on Goats Eye Mountain, which has recently been further developed and offers the best expert terrain in Canada.

Banff’s only ski-in, ski-out accommodation is situated at Sunshine Village, it is ideal base for those who just want to ski.

In General a great great Mountain. A few things to consider. First, the runs are almost all above the tree line so the wind can be a factor in decideing the quality of your day. A few big flats spots one at the bottom of the board park, so boarders beware you need to carry some speed out of the park. Other than that great skiing Goats eye is the Best for advanced skiing.
