Introduction
Fresh snow fell at our reported North American summer skiing resorts over the weekend. The southern hemisphere resorts that we report on are not yet open for the summer season.

European Weather Outlook
Changeable weather is forecast over the Austrian and French resorts throughout the week. The weekend is expected to be calmer and brighter. The Italian and Swiss resorts expect snowfalls at high altitude areas but rain could fall at lower elevations until Friday. Predominantly sunny weather is forecast to dominate over the weekend.

North American Weather Outlook
After a sunny start to the week at the resorts in Colorado, Thursday is forecast to see a drop in temperatures and snowfalls lasting through to the weekend. The weather over the Californian resorts remains unchanged, although thicker clouds to expected to develop over the weekend. Timberline in Oregon expects more snow to fall with temperatures dropping towards midweek.

Andorra
The resorts we report on in Andorra have now closed for the 2007/8 season.

Austria
Bright sunny weather will dominate the Austrian ski scene this week with only the odd light cloud blurring the sky.

Bulgaria
The resorts we report on in Bulgaria have now closed for the 2007/8 season.

Canada
There are now only two of the resorts we reports on in Canada open but there is excellent spring riding on offer at both this week.

France
The last day of the winter season at Tignes, was Sunday 11th May. The glacier is now closed in preparation for the summer ski season which is scheduled to commence on 21st June.

Germany
The skiing on the upper pistes at Garmisch (0/405cm) and Oberstdorf (0/300cm) is still really good thanks to the excellent base depth and low temperatures.

Italy
Not much has changed in Italy this week at the summer skiing destinations we report on. The Presena glacier (300cm) is currently the only open summer ski area we feature in Italy. The spring riding is holding up really well thanks to the deep snow base and there are two red runs, Presena Paradiso and Destra, open for skiing along with the Sinistra black run. A mixture of sunny and cloudy spells is forecast this week with a chance of some rain on Wednesday.

Scotland
On Monday the only skiing in Scotland is at Cairngorm (20/85cm). Snow is falling on Monday morning but the temperatures are forecast to rise on Tuesday bringing rain. The best conditions are on the upper pistes as lower down the cover is patchy.

Sweden
Hemsedal (115/174cm) and Trysil (0/140cm) in Norway are the only resorts which are still open out of the ones we report on. There is a chance of snow at both resorts later on Monday but this will not remain for the rest of the week as mild temperatures are set to bring rain.

Switzerland
Spring riding conditions dominate at Zermatt on Monday. The Gandegg blue run and Furgstallel red run are open along with the Zermatt-Furi and Zermatt-Trockener Steg cable cars, the Furggsattel Gletscherbahn chair lift and the Gandegg drag lift. A combination of sunny and cloudy spells is forecast this week with a chance of some rain on Tuesday.

USA
Skiing in the States is represented by a small number of open resorts this week but the conditions have improved with light snowfalls over the weekend in Colorado.
