The terrain is vast and versatile, with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc. The resort is also situated in the centre of a bowl that guarantees quasi-uninterrupted sunlight on the pistes. Flaine is not about to be outdone in matters of sliding/gliding facilities, since the resort provides a large and very well maintained snow park for skiers who thrive on thrills. The return to the resort can be a little disconcerting though, since all of the skiing activities cannot hide the impersonal architecture of a resort built of untreated, strip-formed concrete.
