Ski Holidays in Courchevel 1550, France
Courchevel 1550 is one of the 5 villages that make up the resort of Courchevel, the others being Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1850, Le Praz and La Tania. All 5 villages share the same ski area and create the most varied and extensive sector of the Three Valley ski area, which links Courchevel, to Meribel, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
A huge variety of slopes, terrain park and half pipe will keep skiers and boarders entertained during a week skiing holiday in Courchevel. However, exploring the whole of the Trois Vallees ski area is easy thanks to the modern lift system of chairs and gondolas.
Courchevel 1550 is a quiet village, offering cheaper accommodation and restaurants in comparison to the higher villages and is an ideal destination for family holidays. Although located lower down the mountain it is only a gondola ride away from Courchevel 1850 and from there access to the rest of the ski area is simple. However, it is a long trip by road up to Courchevel 1650 and 1850 for those people wanting to go out in the evening.
