Ski Holidays in Les Praz De Chamonix, France

Le Praz de Chamonix is located between Chamonix and Argentiere. Included in the Mont Blanc region are the resorts of the Chamonix valley as well as the resorts of Les Contamines, St Gervais, Megève, Le Praz de Chamonix, Praz sur Arly and Nôtre Dame de Bellecombe; the last one is not included on the Mont Blanc ski pass. This area’s popularity stems from the massive amount of skiing for all abilities and its easy accessibility from Geneva.

The Chamonix valley has a reputation, which is well deserved, for some of the best skiing in the Alps. As the marketing literature says, “Chamonix skiers are not quite the same as others.” Chamonix does not really offer doorstep skiing, but each area provides more than enough to keep everyone happy for at least a day, so once you have arrived at your chosen spot there is no need to do anything but ski. The transport system is efficient and frequent and getting around is no trouble; most of the chalet companies provide a minibus service anyway. Chamonix has skiing for all abilities, particularly advanced skiers who are looking for a challenge but intermediates are more than adequately looked after and Les Houches and Le Tour provide ideal pistes for beginners, with plenty of opportunities to progress.

Chamonix, a member of “ Best of the Alps” is busy and bustling. This is the hub of the valley and has all the facilities from numerous bars and restaurants to suit all pockets, to a sports centre, cinema and casino. It is also the access point to the Aiguille du Midi and the famous Vallée Blanche.
