Beginners will love St Lary 1700. The areas pistes are all blue, wide and easy to learn on. Intermediates will find plenty of long cruising reds and some not too testing blacks to improve on. Experts will have to look around for challenges, there are some steeps and some off piste (especially from the Soum de Matte at 2370m), and plenty of deep powder.

The apres ski is subdued and much is the resort is focused on family activities. There are plenty of bars and even a few clubs to keep the revellers happy.
