Tignes le Lavachet, is the lowest of the three Tignes resorts, the other 2 being Tignes Le Lac in the middle and Tignes Val Claret, the highest of the three resorts.Skiing in Tignes is vast due to Tignes being part of the enormous ski area of Espace Killy, which links Tignes to its neighbouring ski resort, Val D’Isere. Nightlife in le Lavachet is relatively quite, with Harry’s being the most popular bar, offering a lively atmosphere. However, there is a free bus which allows you to travel up higher to the resorts of Le Lac and Val Claret where there is a good range of bars, restaurants and clubs to choose from.Tignes offers all year round skiing due to the Grande Motte glacier. Its high altidude and good snow cover means that the winter season starts as early as Novemebr and runs right through to May.
