Ski Holidays in Madesimo, Italy

Madesimo is a gem of a ski resort. Many skiers return year after year to enjoy the resort's unpretentious and friendly atmosphere, it's snow sure conditions and good variety of well groomed pistes. Madesimo is a compact resort, its modern chairlifts and gondolas and the ski school are all in easy walking distance of all our hotels, ensuring hassle-free skiing. Runs are delightfully uncluttered mid-week and skiers will appreciate Madesimo’s excellent value mountain restaurants though will find the sunny panoramic terraces difficult to leave.

The village offers ice skating, a sports centre, cross country skiing, typical shops, also not to be missed is an exhilerating 69km panoramic skidoo trail that leads as far as the swiss border. Après-ski is like the village itself, a relaxed and friendly affair, centering around the hotels and some atmospheric bars that are popular with italians during the weekends.

The resort is best suited to intermediates, although with around 50km of runs, it won't take too long to cover all that's on offer. For experts, there is the Canalone piste. Boarders have a specialist park but this is a better place for intermediates than beginners.

Resort attractions:
Outdoor ice skating rink, 2 panoramic walks, numerous mountain restaurants, some smart shops, 3 supermarkets; pizzerias, a selection of good restaurants; bars; “Tender” disco bar; kit surfing at nearby Montespluga. Après-ski activities include skidoos safaris, tubing, fondue evening, Alpine ski lodge dinner and a St. Moritz excursion.
