Snow Conditions in Italy (13 February 2012)
As with the rest of European resorts, the Italian slopes remain in excellent condition. Monday 13th February saw a largely cloudy day, but in many places the sun had burnt through to create a pleasant riding environment enjoyed by all. This was evident for the Milky Way resorts which experienced sunny skies combined with a few light clouds. The leader in Sauze d’Oulx (80/120cm) reported 30cm of fresh snowfall on Saturday 11th February meaning fresh powdery conditions were enjoyed on Monday. Further east of the country, Arabba (48/62cm) welcomed a respectful 28cm of new snowfall on Thursday 9th February meaning weekend conditions were superb.
