Snow Conditions in Italy (11 August 2014)
Cervinia (130cm) is the only one of our featured Italian summer skiing locations currently open for snowsports. The base depth is holding up well although the visibility was poor on Monday 11th August on the high ski area due to dense cloud cover sitting quite low over the area. The cloud cover is expected to last throughout this week, bringing wet weather. The good news is that snow could fall on the skiing glacier as the freezing level is forecast to drop down to around 3,000m.
The Presena Glacier and Val Senales are closed for the summer.
