Good location for slopes and buses - 22/03/2019
Overall

We’ve just returned from a week in Chalet Chanterelles, La Plagne as sole occupants. Ok, so the stairs are steep (they are in most chalets), the private rooms are not vast but there is enough space for the little time you spend there. It is a 2-minute walk from the bus that goes to the other villages. It is next door (literally) to La Mine bar. No issues for our party with noise. Catered chalets in the area from last year only cater for 5 nights out of 7 so you need to factor that in, although there are a few places to get food within easy walking distance. I think they do now have a hair dryer to offer guests but extras are not plentiful generally. The hosts were great, the food was good, the wine was flowing, the reps were helpful, Breakfast was croissants, bread, cereals, cheese, meat, eggs, coffee. Dinner was 3 courses and no issues with the 2 vegetarians in our group. On the days when it had snowed overnight, it could almost have been ski-in ski-out until they cleared the roads but it is pretty close to ski hire (Sport 2000 is closest), the ticket office, the slopes ....and our group found plenty of pubs and a Spar shop. All good...not luxurious but nice and comfortable with plenty of space for the 14 that we had.

Apres Ski: 4/5
Accommodation & Value: 4/5
