Hotel Silberhorn, Lauterbrunnen

This delightful three-star hotel, in the heart of the village next to the Murren high speed cable car and opposite the train to Wengen is owned and run by the von Allmen family. The spacious dining room is elegant and maintains the warmth and character of the original building. There is a lounge, comfortable, individually designed bedrooms; a friendly traditional stubl which is the hub of local village life.
This is an excellent base from which to explore this big area. The changing value of the Swiss Franc has emphasised the exceptional savings of the resort of Lauterbrunnen compared to the other big names in the area.
