Ski Resorts in Grand Massif
Flaine is the highest resort in the area with the village sitting at 1600m and the mountain peaks stretching up to 2500m. This is a car free resort where most activities are done on skis. Fact - Flaine ski resort was discovered during a snowshoe hike by Rene Martens and Gerard Chervas.
If you are looking for days filled with sunshine then the resort of Les Carroz is perfect for sun worshipers and nature lovers. The traditional village of Morillon offers gentle slopes and lots of activities off the slopes perfect for families. If you are a more relaxed skier and looking for a more chilled out welcoming yet lively resort then Samoens is the perfect pick. It doesn't always have to be about the skiing there are lots of other activities to be enjoyed in Sixt including hiking, climbing or winter walks. Sixt is also perfect for young children and beginners looking to practice their techniques.
Skiing in Grand Massif
One of the largest interconnected ski areas in France with a total of 148 slopes made up by 20 green runs, 64 blue, 50 reds and 14 black runs. The high altitude area offers fantastic skiing conditions throughout the whole season with its perfectly positioned location. With just one lift pass you can enjoy skiing in all five resorts. The 265 km of downhill skiing and outstanding panoramic views won't leave you disappointed.
Le Grand Massif is great for snow sports enthusiasts and ideal for beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders. For those children looking to show off their skills in the snowpark then Kids Jam Park in Morillon is the perfect way to do so with kickers, boxes, rails and more. For the more advanced freestyle skiers and snowboarders there is the Flaine Jam Park Pro.
