The Chalet Eleanor is a pretty, traditional chalet with large windows at every level offering fantastic views towards the Women's Olympic Downhill run and the mountains beyond. Located at the entrance to the resort, it is a 7-minute walk to the resort centre or a 10-minute walk to the main lifts at the Chaudanne. We also offer a minibus service at the start and end of the ski day should you need transportation to the slopes. The ski bus stop is also only a few minutes' walk away.
Chalet Eleanor - Sleeps 14:
Due to the clever design of the chalet, which is cut into the hillside, the chalet entrance and vaulted pine ceiling communal areas are on the ground floor and the bedrooms on the floors below. The open plan living/dining room is very bright and enjoys dramatic views and has a fantastic open fireplace. This room leads out onto a south-west facing balcony. All bedrooms are en suite and have balconies. The small double room (7) is a few steps down from the lounge. The large twin room (6) is a few steps down from 7 and rooms 4 & 5 are next to each other on floor -2. The large twin (3) is a few steps below 4 & 5 and the two twin rooms with en suite bath and WC are on floor -3. Rooms 3 and 6 can accommodate a cot or extra bed for a child..
You start the day with a generous breakfast, including fruit juice, yoghurts, cereals, breads and toast, accompanied by a daily cooked option (6 days a week) to set you up for the day's activities. When you return from the slopes, afternoon tea awaits you. Relax in a comfy sofa and enjoy the homemade cakes or biscuits, breads and spreads and a much welcomed mug of tea or coffee. Remember to save your appetite for the delicious canapés served before dinner.
These are then followed by a 3-course evening meal, served with a selection of wines, cheeseboard and a glass of port, fresh coffee and chocolates. If you prefer bottled mineral water, this is also available. One evening a week the chalet staff have a night off, at which point you will have the opportunity to try one of the many wonderful restaurants available in each of the resorts.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary requests. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and wherever possible, those needing special diets. “High Tea” is available for children who want an early dinner. We can also arrange á la carte wine and champagne in resort (payable locally)
