Indiana Lodge, Meribel
Indiana Lodge is situated in the trees on the exclusive ‘Dou du Pont’ estate - the 'Mayfair of Méribel’ overlooking the centre of the village. Indiana has already fulfilled its promise to be one of the truly ultimate mountain retreats and there are few other chalets to rival it either in Méribel or elsewhere in the Alps. The Evening Standard recently rated it as one of the ‘Season’s most sought after Ski Lodges’.
The living room has a delightful wrap around terrace and each of the bedrooms and bathrooms has been individually themed to combine traditional craftsmanship with cool contemporary styling. There is a sauna and outdoor hot tub, and all the toys including widescreen DVD television with surround sound and heated ski boots in the morning. Adventurous and competent skiers can ski through the forest to and from the hot tub. For your comfort and convenience, ski hire and boot fitting are available in the chalet.

Meals - Indiana Lodge, Meribel
Good food is an essential ingredient of every chalet party. The welcoming glass of bubbly and appetising canapés on your first evening sets the tone for a week of tempting cuisine.
Your day starts with a choice of tea or coffee at your bedside (we can leave it outside the door if you prefer). This is followed by a hearty breakfast, including French bacon, tomatoes and a choice of eggs or, if you prefer, porridge; all served with fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, freshly baked bread, croissants, jams, and a selection of teas and coffee. Once a week your chalet host offers an option of fresh pancakes.
While you are out skiing your host will have laid out afternoon tea for your return – diet-defying cakes, bread, jam, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. First one home puts the kettle on!
Dinner comprises a three-course meal followed by a cheese course, coffee and mints, and all complemented by a selection of extremely palatable French wines. The quality of our wine is of a much superior standard to that which you might have come to expect on a chalet holiday and we have a choice of house reds and whites to accompany your evening meal. In the unlikely event that our house wine proves not to be to your liking then additional choices, including champagne and port, are available from our cellar for a small supplement.
Chalet Hosts: As well as possessing a flair for entertaining and a genuine love of food, our chalet hosts are friendly, unflappable and exceptionally hard working. Having completed a rigorous pre-season training course, each host is encouraged to manage their chalet as if it were their own home. We find this engenders a commitment to your enjoyment and well-being which makes the atmosphere in our chalets quite different. Our chalet hosts have one day a week off. On this day breakfast will be laid out and fresh bread delivered to your chalet. Your host will be delighted to recommend and book a local restaurant for your evening meal.
