The tenth annual White Peaks Challenge is set to take place on March 15th and 16th 2008 - and it is now the last call for snow sports fans wishing to raise money for charity while enjoying a
European ski holiday.
In total 65 skiers will take part in the White Peaks Ski and Board Challenge for Scope, which takes place in Austria over a 48-hour period.
"Guides will push you to your limits to cover 130 kilometres of top-class piste in the heart of Austria - the equivalent of skiing down Everest twice. It's a weekend of pure adrenaline," the cerebral palsy charity writes.
In the last ten years more than 950 people have taken part in the event, raising £1.5 million.
This year, the challenge is aiming to raise over £250,000 for Scope.
Event supporter the Ski Club of Great Britain recently noted that there are now only a few places available left for those wishing to participate in the ski challenge.
Those looking to enjoy a more slow-paced week of snow sports in Austria could always book a
ski holiday in Kitzbuhel.
