Winter is getting closer and it’s only 99 days until some of our first customers depart on their mountain adventures. Here’s a quick summary of some of the first resorts to open this winter.


Val Thorens, France
First departure: 6th December 2014

• Val Thorens is a glacier resort located at an altitude of 2230m, making it Europe’s highest village.
• The resort boasts 600km of piste and 5 freestyle parks.
• Expect to experience great après ski, a huge choice of accommodation and plenty of runs to suit all abilities.

Obergurgl, Austria
First departure: 6th December 2014

• Obergurgl is Austria’s highest parish and is located at 1930m, making for reliable snow conditions throughout the season.
• The resort is ideal for beginner and intermediate level skiers and snowboarders, offering 110km of piste.
• Obergurgl caters to all ages, and in addition to skiing and boarding the resort offers cross country skiing, tobogganing, delicious food and lively après ski.

Zermatt, Switzerland
First departure: 6th December 2014

• Zermatt is famous for its stunning scenery, offering guests a traditional ski experience, complete with a car-free village, horse-drawn sleighs, delicious cuisine and a lively nightlife.
• The resort is located at an altitude of 1620m and offers 313km of piste, with a number of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs.
• Many visitors to Zermatt spend some time exploring the Italian resort of Cervinia, which is only a stone’s throw away.
