In good news for people on
ski holidays in Whistler, the Canadian resort has surpassed its annual snowfall average.
By February 20th, Whistler Blackcomb's snowfall totalled 1,026cm, compared to an average of 1,006cm a year.
Moreover, there are still 103 days to go before the winter season's end.
Stuart Rempel, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Whistler Blackcomb, said the location "is known as one of the most reliable ski resorts in the world for snow".
However, the resort - comprising the two mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb - knows that a great
ski holiday in Whistler involves more than just snow.
Whistler's apres ski is lively and varied, with nightclubs and bars catering to a diverse selection of tastes.
Meanwhile, the calendar of upcoming events is impressively full, as always. Women's Week will take place from March 3rd-11th, followed by the Pontiac GMC Canadian Alpine Ski Championships from March 23rd-28th.
The resort will also host a number of events at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
