Heavenly ski resort in Lake Tahoe has been named among the top ten most romantic ski resorts by Hitched magazine.
According to the publication, the ski resort on the California/Nevada border is perfect for couples looking for a touch of romance.
Apart from skiing in "California's largest winter playground", taking a
ski holiday in Heavenly also offers couples a choice of a range of romantic activities.
Hot air ballooning and hot springs are two must-do activities highlighted by Hitched, as is to take time and enjoy the "jaw-dropping" views of Lake Tahoe during a
ski holiday in Heavenly.
Other ski resorts to make the list compiled by Hitched include the largest ski resort in the USA, Vail in Colorado, and California's Mammoth.
The magazine suggests there is plenty of time left to enjoy a
ski holiday in Mammoth, as it has enough snow to keep romantic couples on the slopes until June.
Couples keen to take a flight to Canada for some snow-based fun are advised to consider a
ski holiday in Whistler, with its Blackcomb which Hitched describes as "without a doubt the most action-packed ski field on the continent".
According to an MSNBC article, skiing holidays are perfect for many couples.
"The jingle of sleigh bells, softly fluttering snow, flickering flames in the fireplace, dinner by candlelight and just the right lodge can make a few days in the mountains a magical time for couples," it claimed.
