The UK's royalty was out in style this Easter bank holiday weekend, celebrating the birthday of one of the younger members of the party with a
ski holiday in Verbier.
Princess Eugenie was accompanied by her mother Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York and royal sister Princess Beatrice, as the group made the most of the great powder,
skiing in Verbier at the weekend for her 18th birthday.
Unlike sister Beatrice who enjoyed a glamorous fancy dress ball at Windsor Castle for her 18th celebrations, the younger granddaughter of the Queen was said to favour a more intimate
European ski holiday.
"I like just throwing on a pair of jeans and generally being more understated, but Beatrice is more 'Let's do the glamour'," Princess Eugenie, who is sixth in line to the throne recently commented in an interview.
And according to the Ski Club of Great Britain's representative in Verbier, Gerry Aitken, conditions in Verbier for a birthday ski holiday have never been better.
He described the weekend of the princess's birthday as "the best weekend of the season" in terms of snowfall.
