The ski resort of
Les Deux Alpes is to boost its green credentials by running trials of an electric bus service.
Les Deux Alpes has been working in association with electricity provider EDF to look into the viability of the carbon neutral vehicles to transport skiers and tourists around the area, reports 2alpesnet.com.
During the Easter holidays, two electric buses - a 22 and 45-seater - will run in addition to the existing ski bus service.
The resort has also pledged to ensure a proportion of its power comes from renewable energy sources, a commitment it has been developing with eco association Mountain Riser and the Parc National des Ecrins.
Les Deux Alpes has 200km of piste on offer to skiers and one snowboard park.
Off-piste, guests can enjoy the heated outdoor pool, cinema, ice rink and numerous shops.
