Ski lovers and winter sports enthusiasts may want to check out Christie's annual Ski Sale, which offers a great opportunity for them to get their hands on rare vintage ski advertisement posters dating from the 1920s and 1930s.
Designed to encourage people across the world to take up winter sports, the posters include work from fine designers such as Roger Broders, Emil Cardinaux, Alois Carigiet, Alex Walter Diggelmann and Hugo Laubi.
According to the auctioneers, the designers, who also included Carl Moos and Martin Peikert, were tasked with creating "posters that exuded the elegance of some of the best resorts" in popular ski destinations.
These include the popular French ski resort of Chamonix
, Davos, Gstaad, Klosters and St Moritz, which are all featured in the sale.
The posters appear to have served their purpose as skiing is now a popular pastime, with ski resorts such as Chamonix attracting holidaymakers from all over the world.
Holidaymakers are currently enjoying very good piste conditions in the resort, according to the latest reports.
