Holidaymakers can now access snow reports on popular European ski resorts such as Chamonix
using their mobile phones thanks to the launch of a new iPhone application (app).
British carmaker Land Rover and the Ski Club of Great Britain have unveiled the app, which features live snow report data from 250 resorts, and can be downloaded free of charge from iTunes.
Ski lovers can also find out about snow depths, on and off conditions of pistes, access webcams and news information on the latest ski and snowboarding events.
According to Ski Club's new media manager Abi Lee, "excellent feedback about how quick and easy" the app is to use has been received.
"The snow information provided on the app is the most accurate and up to date around and will be ideal for skiers and boarders who want to check conditions when they are on the move and even when they are in resort," she said.
French ski resorts such as Chamonix are popular with Brits due to, among other things, their proximity to the UK.
