Is the half term going to be the best, snowiest conditions we have seen in the Alps during the popular school holiday? It's certainly looking that way as snow just keeps on falling and in droves never seen before by many of our faithful followers.

Over the past few weeks there has been epic snowfall, with many people claiming it's the best season for snow in years, and as the most popular time of the season to ski arrives, so does even more snow. This weekend boasts the perfect combination of snow and sunshine, with blue skies today and around 20cm of snow is forecast all over the place.

France is boasting great snow this weekend and early next week, with most resorts expecting around 20cm of fresh snow and some welcome sunshine so you can enjoy the powder. France is having its season of seasons and the half-term skiing is going to be exceptional at this rate.

Italy is also gearing up for the busy period with some good snowfall. The forecast varies from over 30cm to 10cm, so from the Dolomites to the Milky Way, the pistes should be in great shape over the next couple of weeks.

  • La Thuile 26cm
  • Livigno 26cm
  • Passo Tonale 32cm
  • Pila 29cm
  • Sauze d'Oulx 18cm
  • Selva 10cm
  • Sestriere 20cm

Switzerland has had exceptional snow throughout the season, with Wengen boasting over 90cm in the past 6 days. This weekend sees more snow arriving and with the addition of some sunshine, you will be able to make the most of the sublime slopes!

  • Davos 9cm
  • Flims Laax 10cm
  • Klosters 8cm
  • Nendaz 16cm
  • Saas Fee 25cm
  • St. Moritz 26cm
  • Verbier 17cm
  • Villars 7cm
  • Wengen 17cm

Austria is expecting a lighter dusting this weekend, but thanks to good snow all season, the mountains are in great shape ready for the busy weeks ahead.

  • Ischgl 8cm
  • Lech 8cm
  • Obergurgl 7cm
  • Solden 7cm
