Next winter will see the Easter holidays much later than previous years. At the moment, the main weeks of the Easter holidays are going to be the the weeks of the 11th and 18th of April.
Many people will look at those dates and decide that Easter is surely too late to go skiing. Fear not, as they could be mistaken. It's currently May and the high altitude resorts of
Val d'Isere and
Avoriaz have received more snow this week and
Val Thorens is still open.
Tignes is currently boasting powder conditions and the Swiss resorts of
Saas Fee and
Zermatt are expecting another 35cm over the next three days!
Over the past three seasons, many of the high resorts have started to look a little bare towards the end of March, then enjoyed fantastic spring snow throughout April. For your late season skiing next year look at the
Espace Killy, Val Thorens,
St. Anton and Saas Fee.
With such good end of season snow, there are a selection of operators looking to offer Easter skiing right through until the last week of April. The holidays will be there but beds will be limited compared to peak season.
