Anyone Bored Of The Snow Yet? Thought Not

Anyone Bored Of The Snow Yet? Didn't think you would be, so it may cause the occasional inconvenience such as a longer transfer, delayed flight or reduced lift service for a day here or there, but all this constant snow means the Alps are filled with powder, the pistes are pristine and the snowparks have landings made of snow as opposed to ice.

So if you are as passionate about skiing and snowboarding as we think you are, you're probably smiling like a Cheshire cat right now and counting down the days until your next trip to the mountains, or saving like mad to get out there while the snow is so damn good.

After a weekend of snow that saw up to 50cm falling in some resorts in France, Switzerland and Austria, we are looking at a few more days of snow, mixed in with some sunshine to make the most of the epic conditions that are arising. Austria this week takes to lead, with around 25cm falling in St. Anton, Ischgl, Kuhtai, Saalbach, Soll and Kitzbuhel. Zell am See, Alpbach and Niederau are all forecast 23cm and Obergurgl, Solden and Mayrhofen are all expecting upwards of 20cm of snow.

Switzerland is continuing with its theme of benefitting from snow each time a weather-front hits the Alps, with Flims Laax gaining one of the biggest dumps this weekend, with 30cm. Lenzerheide isn't far behind with 28cm of snow and Davos and Klosters are forecast 25cm and 27cm respectively. This season's little powder haven of Grimentz has 21cm on its way, while Villars and St. Moritz are both forecast around 20cm of snow.

Heading over to France, and after a great weekend on snow there is bountiful sunshine on offer al day, followed by a light mid-week dusting of snow. The forecasts are minimal, with between 5cm and 10cm expected in most resorts, but with the slopes in pristine condition this dusting is just the icing on the cake, as opposed to much needed snow.

So, with the Alps covered in several meters of snow, more snow and a few days of sunshine in this week's forecast and deals galore available, has there ever been a better time to hit the slopes?
