Heavy snowfall looks to be good news for anyone planning a
ski holiday in Keystone.
The resort in Colorado has an opening date of Friday, November 2nd - one week earlier than scheduled, the Associated Press reports.
A 12-inch base of snow is said to have settled on the slopes, making
ski holidays in Keystone a good bet for early season winter sports.
Keystone is not the only resort in the state to open early - Arapahoe Basin started activities on October 10th while Loveland followed close on its tails on October 16th.
Copper Mountain Resort also plans to open early on Friday, November 2nd.
This season looks set to be a good one for fans of snow sports, whether they are travelling to North America or Europe.
It recently emerged that a number of Austrian resorts - including Schladming and Hintertux - have been opening more than six weeks ahead of their timetable due to exceptionally good snowfall.
