People looking to book their
European ski holidays for the 2007-2008 season may be interested in a list of top-ten ski resorts compiled by TripAdvisor.
Resorts in France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Sweden all feature in the top-ten list.
However those who have booked their
ski holidays in La Plagne will be happy to know that the French resort was awarded the number one spot of the best European ski resorts.
Ski holidays in Les Deux Alpes also featured on the list in tenth place, while
Zermatt ski holidays were placed at ninth.
Earlier this autumn, the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta) reported that 1.3 million Britons intend to go on a snow sports holiday this year.
"Snow is already falling across the Alps and North America, and so signs are positive for early on in the season. France again will be the number one destination, with Austria, Italy, Andorra and North America the next most popular destinations," commented Frances Tuke of Abta.
Other ski resorts which featured in the top-ten list included Obertauern and St Wolfgang in Austria, Kranjska Gora in Slovenia, Ortisei and Canazei in Italy, Kiruna in Sweden and Champery in Switzerland.
