Blunt heads to Verbier

Blunt heads to Verbier Anyone on a ski holiday in Verbier this season could soon be rubbing shoulders with one of the music industry's hottest properties.

Singer James Blunt, who shot to fame in 2005 with his hit single You're Beautiful, is planning to move from the UK to the Swiss ski resort.

According to the local tax office, the musician has registered on their books.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed a Verbier ski holiday on many occasions, having gone frequently to the resort as a child.

He also returned, though not exactly for a Verbier ski holiday, while partaking in ski training during his army days at Sandhurst.

Indeed, Blunt seems to have become somewhat of a local celebrity in the Swiss ski paradise and is believed to be opening a new six-seater lift at the resort.

As well as boasting one of the most popular singles in recent years, Blunt's album, Back To Bedlam, has sold in the region of 11 million copies worldwide.
