This weekend the World Economic Forum will be meeting in Davos Switzerland, and yes that is the ski resort of Davos. Are the world's business leaders in town to discuss important issues, or are they on a high profile jolly to one of Europe's top, exclusive resorts?
Our very own lovable rogue and Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, will be attending the forum with his usual panache in an attempt to harness sponsorship opportunities in London from the international businesses participating in the meeting. Hoping to exploit the 2012 Olympics the Mayor of London said:
"Over the next few years London will be in the world's spotlight with billions watching our every move. The Royal Wedding, the 2012 Games, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations and a range of other global reaching events in the capital will reinforce the city’s presence on the international stage like no other world city has ever done before. I will be telling the world’s business leaders in Davos that now is the time both to benefit from these huge opportunities that are arising and, at the same time, give something back to the capital"

Though this is a great opportunity to drum up extra cash for our capital, will our floppy haired Mayor miss out on the world class skiing on offer? Surely the temptations of the skiing over to the exclusive resort of Klosters as well as enjoying the luxury hotels, chalets and restaurants will be too much to ignore.
