Canadian sit-skier wins medal for Canada at Whistler
Host nation Canada continues to pick up awards after winning a record amount of medals during the main Winter Olympics, with the latest coming courtesy of Paralympic sit-skier Colette Bourgonje.
The 48-year-old athlete from Saskatchewan bagged a silver medal for the ten kilometre cross country sit-ski competition, landing Canada its first Paralympics medal on home soil.
Meanwhile, taking place today (March 19th) is the Men's Super-G, which will feature the visually impaired, standing and sitting competitions, all of which are medal events.
On the home front, Great Britain's wheelchair curling team finished in sixth place after a mixed set of results in the round-robin tournament from which they exited after going down 7-6 against Sweden.
Team boss Tom Pendreigh told the BBC: "You need a bit of luck and we were unlucky" in both the games against Sweden and the US, which went to the last stone.
