Clean Sweep in Colorado

Clean Sweep in Colorado

This weekend Colorado takes a clean sweep for the best snow forecast. Over the next few days Steamboat, Aspen, Beaver Creek, Vail and Crested Butte can all expect a reasonable 20cm of fresh powder. Kicking Horse, Silver Star and Whistler are leading the way in Canada with a 10cm dusting to keep the pistes perfect.

Europe is currently enjoying superb skiing conditions, with superb pistes and snowparks following the weeks of great snow throughout December and early January. Austria is enjoying a top-up of about 6cm in Ellmau, Alpbach, Soll and Hinterglemm. Engelberg in Switzerland and Kronplatz in Italy are also looking forward to a light dusting over the weekend.

If superb pistes, vin chaud on sun-kissed terraces and beautiful blue skis sound like your idea of heaven, then head to France. With the major resorts boasting superb snow depths and empty pistes the last week of January is a great time to escape to the mountains.
