Courchevel has announced that the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup will be taking place on the 21st December 2010, 31 years since the resort last hosted the men's giant slalom.
During the last competition Swedish skier Ingemar Stenmar won once of his 86 World Cup victories with a resounding victory and the resort hope that this years event will be a memorable one.
To celebrate hosting the event COurchevel has announced that the slopes around the stadium will be available free of charge on the day of the event and through the competition site Courchevel Valley lift passes are available for €15 on the day, less than half their usual price.
