The second half of February has seen the snow make a welcome return to Europe and has seen North America continue to receive record amounts of the white stuff. With the improved conditions and with a good amount of snow falling in all the top resorts over the weekend, the early March slopes are looking pretty good.
Europe is expecting a fairly even coverage over the weekend with 15-25cm falling in most resorts. France's highlights see 21cm in La Tania, Morzine and Megeve, with Courchevel, Val d'Isere and Alpe d'Huez all boasting upwards of 15cm. Switzerland follows suit with 18cm in Verbier, Crans Montana and Mürren. Italy is looking forward to 18cm in Pila, La Thuile and Bardonecchia, with Cervinia and Sestriere not far behind on 16cm. Austria is fairly even throughout with pretty much everywhere expecting 15cm of fresh snow.

North America is still boasting quite incredible conditions that are definitely worth the eight hour flight. Again Colorado and Lake Tahoe are where most of the action is, with Aspen boasting a massive 42cm of perfect powder, Crested Butte and Beaver Creek are also benefitting respectively from 37cm and 27cm of fresh pow. California is looking awesome too right now with 35cm hitting Squaw Valley, 27cm in Northstar and 25cm in Heavenly.
Canada is also showing its true colours with some amazing conditions at the moment. Whistler has another incredible forecast with 45cm of British Columbia's finest, Kimberley and Fernie are both boasting 26cm and Tremblant is getting in on the act with a 19cm top up.
All in all conditions are looking great for the weekend, so get those fat skis out and get ready for an amazing March.
