Those taking a ski holiday over half-term will be pleased to learn that forecasters are predicting heavy snowfall for the rest of the month.
According to the Telegraph, up to half a metre of snow is set to fall across resorts in France, Austria and Switzerland.
France's Three Valleys are set to receive 23 centimetres of snowfall, while Switzerland is expecting a whopping 45 centimetres of the white stuff.
Despite the credit crunch, thousands of families are expected to hit the slopes this year, with people keen to make the most of the exceptional conditions and fantastic deals.
Last year, more than 700,000 British skiers enjoyed holidays in France, with resorts such as Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens proving popular.
In related news, Val Thorens is hosting a teen activity week over half-term, featuring art demonstrations, musical performances and competitions.
