Freeze Festival 2013

Freeze Festival 2013 Freeze in Association with Metro returns in 2013 to a brand new home and a fresh new look! The UK’s biggest winter sports festival returns for its sixth year, bringing après to over 30,000 people in the heart of London between 27th November and 1st December.

During the week visitors will enjoy a trip to the mountains and can experience authentic alpine food stalls, parties in après ski bars, an alpine shopping village and a ski & snowboard cinema.

The latest announcements include Electronic duo AlunaGeorge as the main stage special guest plus Toddla T, Clean Bandit, Route 94 and Knytro are on board to bring the heat of the Balearics to London at the Ibiza Rocks the Snow bar.

Europe’s most unique festival has moved to a new home, leaving the towers of Battersea Power Station for the vast open spaces of Clapham Common. For five days the Common will be transformed into iconic après ski scenes from all corners of the world. Explore five themed alpine bars including: Dicks Tee Bar for epic 80s aprés with retro onesies and cheesy anthems, Bavarian Haus with everything Austrian under one roof, the Metro Lodge complete with trendy house music from an all-star line-up including MJ Cole, Maribou State, Eton Messy and Josh Butler. Plus Ultimate après bar La Folie Douche is on site as well as and Krazy Kangaroo for the finest 80s cheese.

On Saturday, visitors can also watch world class winter sports competitions, including Hail The Rail where the best international snowboarders and skiers will battle for a £12,000 prize!

Plus you can catch a host of top music acts on the Music stage. Joining an array of high profile DJ’s and acts are 19 year old super producer, Madeon, one of the UK’s hottest producers; DJ Fresh, and legendary entertainers; The Cuban Brothers, Saturday is set to be an electronic lover’s dream.

As well as a massive shopping village, all the very best mouth-watering traditional alpine cuisine will be on offer, think bratwurst, crepes, fondue, tartiflette, roasted chestnuts, raclette, mulled wine, cider and more! If that isn’t enough to entice you, Freeze will also feature a fun fair complete with white knuckle rides, carousels and swinging chairs.
