GB Park and Pipe team in search for a site for a world-class training facility

GB Park and Pipe team in search for a site for a world-class training facility The GB Park and Pipe team of British Ski and Snowboard have gained significant funding to build a new ‘reduced risk’ world-class training facility in the UK.

Now they are looking for a location to host this training centre and are turning to the public for ideas. This facility would greatly boost the skiers and snowboarders of the GB Park and Pipe team and help train more world-class GB athletes.

With snowboarding big air just added to the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, this could significantly help the team training leading up to the Winter Games

The plans are for a permanent centre complete with a large outdoor jump with an inflatable landing with the option of additional indoor freestyle training area.

Interested parties please contact Paddy Mortimer, BSS Performance Director. All UK location will be considered. Paddy.Mortimer@TeamBSS.org.uk

This hub would be similar to Chiba Kings airbag site in Japan
