It looks to be a great season for skiers as exceptional conditions and some fantastic resorts combine to tempt holidaymakers into hitting the slopes.
Although
European ski holidays may have always been popular, ski lift operator Compagnie des Alpes claims business is already up by 14 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Excellent conditions were cited for the rise in bookings, the company said according to the Ski Club of Great Britain.
Meanwhile, tour operators have also seen boosted sales in snow sports holidays thanks to early snowfalls that persuaded people to jet off for a break on the piste.
Compagnie des Alpes operates in French resorts such as Tignes, France. The country is currently experiencing milder temperatures and more light to moderate snow is forecast from Wednesday of next week, according to the BBC.
The news provider suggested that sunny weather is causing the snow to soften towards the end of each day.
