Head to the slopes for free as The Snow Centre turns 5
It’s just been confirmed that Bronze Medalist Jenny Jones will be at The Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead on Monday 5th, as well as fellow Olympians Aimee Fuller and Jamie Nicholls!

This May The Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead will be 5 years old and are celebrating throughout the bank holiday weekend. Winter may be coming to an end, but you don’t have to pack away your ski or snowboard just yet. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, you are invited to join in the festivities and have the chance to meet a Team GB Winter Olympian.
Here’s what’s happening over the 5 days of celebrations:
Thursday 1st May: Charity Fundraiser
Join the opening celebration at The Snow Centre’s evening charity event with Snowbility and Lords Taverners Charity. The evening includes a champagne reception followed by a delicious meal and the auction will include some huge prizes with all money going to the fantastic cause.
Friday 2nd May: Meet Jamie Nicholls
Head to Friday Freestyle and get the chance to freestyle with an Olympian! There will be a park feature created by Jamie Nicholls and he will be riding all evening so you will have the chance to ski or snowboard alongside him.
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th May : Kids Go For Free
Don’t lose your ski legs this summer – head to the Hemel Mountain and with every adult lift pass purchased, you get the same lift pass for a junior for free!
Bank Holiday Monday 5th May: Board & Ski For Free + Test Next Year’s Kit
If you have always wanted to try learning a snow sport – then here is your chance. Throughout the day instructors will doing free 15 minute taster sessions for both adults and juniors.
For Children under 7, Burton Riglet will be at the Snow Centre too with their specialist equipment to give young boarders their first taste of shredding.
For the more experienced on the slopes, you can test out brand new 2014/15 equipment within the cost of you lift pass.
