Kitzbuhel to open with a bang

Kitzbuhel to open with a bang Skiers looking to start their winter with a bang should set their sights on a ski holiday in Kitzbuhel this December, as the resort is planning opening festivities that are second to none.

Winter skiing in the Austrian resort is scheduled to begin on the weekend of December 14th - 16th and Kitzbuhel claims that there will be a "firework of events" to welcome those on ski holidays in Kitzbuhel to winter skiing in the Austrian Alps.

Among the activities planned to coincide with opening weekend are open-air concerts, parties and ski presentations.

During the festivities, which mark the opening of the resort, those on a Kitzbuhel ski holiday will be able to enjoy apres-ski parties in the town's bars from 16:00 local time and free guided walks.

Those enjoying ski holidays in Kitzbuhel over the opening weekend can also make it a romantic experience with a visit to Restaurant Hochkitzbuhel, where holidaymakers can take an evening cable-car ride up the Hahnenkamm mountain for a candle-light dinner on the Friday evening.

Other activities to enjoy in the Austrian resort include snowshoe hiking and tobogganing.
