Lake Tahoe's ski resorts have begun preparing for the forthcoming ski season, as temperatures in the area start to decline.
It was reported yesterday (October 23rd) that 13 centimetres of snow had fallen in
Breckenridge and
Vail, with a dusting of snow around the areas of Bever creek and Keystone.
Snowfall has also been reported in Heavenly, with the resort preparing itself for another snowy season.
Cold temperatures have allowed snowmaking to begin in the resorts, ahead of their November opening days.
Located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, the Lake Tahoe area is home to the largest number of ski resorts in the US, boasting over 500 groomed trails.
An ideal destination for skiers of all abilities, Lake Tahoe has an excellent range of Terrain.
The ski season runs from November until May.
