Bode Miller seems to have his head in the right place going into the 2010 Winter Olympics as he aims to pick up medals in all five disciplines on the pistes of
Whistler.
The 32-year-old was heavily fancied to medal four years ago in Turin, but left empty handed after a string of disappointing performances, including twice failing to finish and getting disqualified during the second leg of the combined event.
However, he has plans to add to the two silver medals he collected in Salt Lake City when competing in Vancouver, although he knows this will mean being somewhere close to his best.
According to AFP, Miller said: "I'm ready to compete for medals in all five right now.
"It's going to take really good skiing, but that's no different than it usually would be. If I ski well in every event I think I can be on the podium."
He added that he is continuing to feel stronger after battling back from injuring his ankle ligaments in December during a game of volleyball.
Miller also gained a confidence boost ahead of the Winter Olympics by triumphing in a World Cup super combined event last month.
