Ski holidays in Meribel are set to be even better this ski season, now that a new high-speed chairlift has been installed on the resort's slopes.
The new chairlift features a pull-down weather shield and replaces the gondola lift previously located on the second stage of the Tougnete slope.
Furthermore, the addition of the new chairlift means that those on
family ski holidays no longer need to wrestle with button lifts on this stretch of slope, as the Tougnete draglift has been dismantled.
The ski resort notes that this has left fewer pylons on the mountain - providing both an aesthetic benefit and a practical plus for those on
ski holidays in Meribel.
Another benefit of the new chairlift is the pull-down weather shield, which is designed to protect those on a
ski holiday in Meribel from bad weather.
Meribel is scheduled to open for skiing on Saturday December 8th 2007.
