A total of one in ten of all Britons selecting a location for their ski trips opt for
ski holidays in Val d'Isere, it has been reported.
The Times claims that the reasons behind the choice of
Val d'Isere ski holidays above other destinations in Europe are plentiful.
According to the publication, the resort benefits from good terrain, lively atmosphere, a range of accommodation and a wide selection of pistes offering a variety of difficulty levels.
"It's because it has everything a grown-up ski resort should have - vast ski area, loads of great terrain for everyone, stonking apres-ski and places to stay that are as cheap as chips or as dear as diamonds," wrote wintersports editor Mark Frary.
Mr Frary added that the apres ski in Val d'Isere is "the best in France for my money".
He claimed that skiing down the black ski run Face de Bellevarde at the end of the day means that "you deserve to enjoy your apres-ski".
Val-d'Isere is a popular ski resort in France which is located close to the border with Italy.
