Anyone travelling to the Paradiski area of France this winter will plenty to keep themselves occupied.
The area, which comprises the resorts of
Les Arcs,
La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry, is preparing to host a number of exciting events over the forthcoming season, with everything from snow rugby to dog sled races on offer.
Next month sees the Les Etoiles du Sport, which kicks off on December 13th and features a number of French sports stars battling it out on the slopes.
The annual La Gorzderette festival takes place on January 24th and 25th, featuring free skiing, ice climbing and cross country racing, while holidaymakers visiting the Paradiski area in February can see dog sled races and reconstruction trapper camps.
Visitors to the area can celebrate St Patrick's Day in style next March, with a week-long celebration taking place in the resort of Peisey-Vallandry.
In related news, a recent report commissioned by the Ski Club of Great Britain revealed that the number of Britons taking ski holidays has increased by three per cent in the last year.
